Method
- Place the watermelon chunks into the blender pitcher, ensuring they are evenly distributed and ready to be blended.
- Blend the watermelon on high speed until completely smooth, with no large pieces remaining. You should see a bright pink liquid with slight foam on top.
- Pour the blended watermelon through a fine-mesh sieve into a large mixing bowl to remove pulp and strain out any solids, pressing gently to extract as much juice as possible.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and sea salt to the strained watermelon juice, stirring with a spoon until the salt dissolves completely. If desired, stir in honey for extra sweetness.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving jug and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, about 30 minutes. The beverage will be vibrant pink and slightly frothy on top.
- Serve the watermelon lemonade over ice cubes in tall glasses, garnished with a lemon wedge or a small sprig of mint if desired.
Notes
Adjust the amount of sea salt and honey based on taste preference. Use ripe, sweet watermelon for best flavor.
