Ingredients

  • Watermelon 4 cups, cubed: The main ingredient, offering natural sweetness and a high water content for hydration.
  • Ice optional, 1 cup: For a chilled, refreshing drink.
  • Lime juice 1 tablespoon, optional: Adds a zesty kick and balances the sweetness of the watermelon.
  • Honey or agave syrup optional, 1 tablespoon: Sweetens the juice, if desired, but watermelon is usually sweet enough on its own.

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Blender
  • Strainer (optional)
  • Pitcher or glass

Method

  1. Cut the watermelon in half and remove the rind.
  2. Slice the watermelon into chunks and remove any seeds, if necessary.
  3. Add the watermelon chunks to the blender and blend until smooth.
  4. If desired, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp.
  5. Taste the juice and add lime juice or sweetener if needed.
  6. Pour the juice into a glass or pitcher.
  7. If you like your juice cold, add a few ice cubes or chill it in the fridge.
  8. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
