  • 4 cups watermelon flesh, cubed seeded, ripe
  • 1 tbsp lime juice optional, enhances flavor

Method
 

  1. Use the sharp knife to cut the ripe watermelon into manageable cubes, removing the rind if necessary. Transfer 4 cups of cubed watermelon into the blender.

  2. Add 1 tablespoon of lime juice to the blender for a subtle tang and to enhance the natural flavors.

  3. If desired, add honey or sugar to sweeten the juice to taste. Cover the blender with its lid and blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and slightly frothy, about 30 seconds.

  4. If you prefer a smoother juice, pour the blended liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, using the back of a spoon to press out excess pulp. Skip this step for a more pulpy texture.
  5. Pour the watermelon juice into glasses, serve immediately over ice if desired, and enjoy the vibrant, refreshing beverage.
