  • Watermelon flesh 4 cups, cubed seedless or de-seeded: Provides juicy sweetness and refreshing hydration.
  • Honey or simple syrup 1–2 tablespoons, start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste: Balances flavour without overpowering natural fruit sweetness.
  • Fresh lime juice 1 tablespoon, about ½ small lime or ¼ large lime: Adds bright citrus freshness.
  • Cold water 1 cup: Lightens the drink and improves consistency.

Method
 

  1. Place the cubed watermelon into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and juicy.
  3. Add honey or simple syrup.
  4. Pour in fresh lime juice.
  5. Add cold water to the mixture.
  6. Blend again until fully combined.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  8. Strain through a fine sieve if you prefer a smoother drink.
  9. Transfer the agua fresca to a pitcher.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes if desired.
  11. Stir gently before serving.
  12. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.
