Method
 

  1. Pour apple cider into a saucepan.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks to the pot.
  3. Stir in orange zest and peel pieces.

  5. Place the saucepan over medium heat just until steam begins to rise, then reduce to low to maintain a gentle simmer.
  6. Warm cider gradually without boiling.
  7. Reduce heat once gentle simmer begins.
  8. Stir occasionally to blend flavors.
  9. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  10. Allow the cider to simmer gently for about 10–15 minutes so the spices fully infuse their flavor.
  11. Remove pot from heat once aromatic.
  12. Strain if desired and serve warm.
