Method
 

  1. Pour apple cider into a medium saucepan.
  2. Add cinnamon stick, star anise, and crushed cardamom pods.

  4. Allow mixture to heat slowly without boiling.
  5. Simmer gently for 10–20 minutes, adjusting time based on desired spice intensity.
  6. Stir occasionally to distribute spice flavors.
  7. Taste and simmer longer if stronger spice is desired.
  8. Remove from heat once aroma becomes fragrant.
  9. Strain cider into a heatproof jug or directly into mugs.

Notes
