Topped with fresh berries, nuts, chocolate, and coconut flakes, it offers a crunchy texture combined with bursts of fruity and nutty flavors. The final product is a visually appealing, snackable frozen treat with a satisfying snap when broken apart.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt thick and tangy for a firm bark
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness
  • 0.5 cup fresh berries blueberries or raspberries add color and juiciness
  • 0.25 cup chopped nuts almonds or walnuts, toasted if desired
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips dark, white, or milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons toasted coconut flakes adds smoky sweetness
  • pinch sea salt enhances flavors

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula
  • Knife

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the Greek yogurt evenly over the surface, creating a thin, smooth layer with a spatula. Place the tray in the freezer for about 30 minutes to chill.
  2. Once the yogurt is firm but still slightly soft to the touch, drizzle honey or maple syrup evenly over the surface, then gently spread toppings like berries, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and a pinch of sea salt across the yogurt layer.
  3. Return the tray to the freezer and freeze for an additional 1 hour or until completely firm and no longer sticky to the touch.
  4. Remove the tray from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to soften slightly, making it easier to snap apart.
  5. Use a sharp knife to cut or break the frozen yogurt into jagged pieces, listening for the satisfying snap as it cracks apart.
  6. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month, breaking into pieces as needed.
