Method
 

  1. Add water to a small saucepan.
  2. Place fresh cranberries into the pot.
  3. Add cinnamon sticks and whole cloves.
  4. Arrange thin orange slices into the mixture.
  5. Set the saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  7. Reduce heat to low once simmering begins.
  8. Allow aromas to slowly release into the air.
  9. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  10. Add extra water if the level drops.
  11. Continue simmering as long as desired.
  12. Turn off heat and allow the pot to cool safely.

Notes

Feel free to add extra cinnamon sticks or a splash of vanilla for a deeper scent. Keep an eye on the water level to prevent boiling dry. Refill with water as needed during simmering to keep the aroma strong.
