Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour 2 ½ cups plus extra: forms the soft dough structure
  • Granulated sugar 1/2 cup: adds sweetness and a small portion helps activate yeast
  • Active dry yeast 1 package about 2 ¼ teaspoons: helps dough rise and become fluffy
  • Warm milk 1 cup about 110°F: activates yeast and enriches dough texture
  • Unsalted butter 3 tablespoons, softened for filling: helps cinnamon sugar adhere and creates gooey layers
  • Large egg 1: binds ingredients and adds softness
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup for filling: creates gooey caramel-like sweetness
  • Ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons: provides warm signature flavor
  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup optional glaze: makes a smooth sweet topping
  • Milk 2 tablespoons for glaze: thins glaze for easy drizzling
