Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz fresh cherry juice preferably from pitted cherries
  • 2 oz gin preferably a smooth, floral gin
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice about half a lemon
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • ice cubes ice for shaking and chilling

  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Juicer or citrus press
  • Measuring jigger
  • Glass (preferably coupe or rocks glass)

Method
 

  1. Measure out the fresh cherry juice, lemon juice, gin, and simple syrup using a jigger, then combine them in a cocktail shaker.

  2. Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker to chill the mixture.

  3. Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and slightly frothy.
  4. Strain the contents through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled glass, catching any pulp or ice shards for a smooth presentation.
  5. Garnish with a fresh cherry or a twist of lemon peel if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by varying the simple syrup amount. Use high-quality gin for best flavor.
